USE ICE CUBES TO RID HALLOWEEN GUM FROM CARPET
When gum clogs the carpet, grab some ice cubes from the freezer, put them in a baggie, and lay it on top of the gum. Once the gum is frozen, use a butter knife or spatula to pry it off. Push in the same direction to keep your carpet fibers intact.
You can reapply the ice as you go if the gum starts getting gooey. When you have removed everything you can by hand, squirt a 1-part white vinegar to 1/2-part soap and water solution on the remaining bits of gum. Let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe off.
Another method to try is a mineral spirit, which you can spritz on the gum, wait 10 minutes and remove just as you would with the ice cube approach. Be sure to try the spirit out on an unobtrusive patch of carpet first to ensure it doesn't cause discoloration.
HOW TO CLEAN CHOCOLATE HALLOWEEN CANDY FROM YOUR CARPET
Use a spoon to gently scoop up as much of the chocolate as possible without spreading the stain. Add a dash of cold water to the stain area, then apply dishwasher soap to a clean, white towel and dab carefully onto the chocolate. Let the stain sit for five minutes, blot once more with cold water, and use the towel to remove any remaining chocolate.
REMOVE HALLOWEEN HARD CANDY FROM YOUR CARPET
Spritz cold water on the candy, wait a minute, then pull all the larger pieces from the area. Continue doing this until all the hard candy has been removed. Then use a stain remover you have tried before on your carpet to get the remaining candy dye out.
